- Battlefield 6 launched on 10 October 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, EA app, Epic Games Store).
- It is made by Battlefield Studios (DICE, Criterion, Motive, Ripple Effect) and published by EA.
- Four classes: Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon. Matches hold up to 64 players, and progress carries across platforms with an EA account.
- Launch modes: Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill, Escalation and Sabotage. Portal is included.
- Nine maps at launch, among them Liberation Peak, Empire State / Manhattan Bridge and New Sobek City.
- Year 1 is complete: Seasons 1–4, the free REDSEC battle royale, Ranked for REDSEC, naval warfare, and Wake Island and Railway to Golmud back again.
- The Top Gun phase came on 18 August 2026 with two jets: the F/A-81F Super Spectre (F/A-18 Super Hornet) and the F-74A Seacat (F-14 Tomcat).
- The Deep Six event closed around 28 September 2026.
Announced / still exploring (not live yet)
Season 5 and the 2027 plans are announced or still being explored, so all of this can change.
- Season 5 starts Year 2.
- Rapid Royale is coming to REDSEC.
- The Open and Elite Series return.
- Three Vegas maps across the season, two of them at season launch.
- New weapons and Portal updates.
- A Server Browser, later in Season 5.
- Vehicle, anti-air and gunplay changes are still being tested and may change.
- 2027 plans are exploration only, nothing is locked yet.
